We did it!

We renovated abandoned church to revitalize Farmersburg, Indiana into a vibrant arts community with Original Theater.​
Farmersburg Theater is a 501 c 3 not for profit organization dedicated to the creation of professional theater through performance and education.  
​Our mandate of “Always Original” means our focus is on new or unpublished works, nurturing rising and under-represented artistic voices.
​Farmersburg Theater celebrates diversity, equity and inclusion, and is proud to be a green company. 
In between shows we offer classes, outreach programs, and our Comedy Lounge! 
Our ARTWALK is always open an free to the public.

 Renaissance Day 

Your quest will include:  Learning to duel (with foam swords, don’t worry moms!) Creating a crown or shield, and a family crest.Trying some Aerials on an aerial rig! Watching a real sword demonstration! Taking family photos at the castle. Learning Shakespearean insults!  Admission is $10 all activities are included for the one price!

Why Theater Now? 


Theater is a non partisan, non religious community space where age, ability, and race are are irrelevant.  Theater is a place where you can unplug from devices and reconnect to your humanity. 

Theater training classes teach communication, connection, and improve problem solving skills. 

In the community, a theater creates jobs, and visitors then spend money in other community businesses. 

The world needs theater more than ever.
